I hereby declare in accordance with the Americans Invent Act that I publicly disclose the following invention or inventions:"A window or door equipped with a double pane insulated glass unit (IGU) that has the following unique features and benefits:- the inside face of the outer pane (double pane IGU’s glass faces are four, with the outward face of the outer pane being surface 1, the inward face of the outer pane being surface 2, the outward face of the inside pane being surface 3, and the inward face of the inside pane being surface 4) known as surface 2 is coated with an electro-chromatic coating with can be electrically stimulated to become increasingly opaque on demand.- surface 3 is coated with a transparent metal coating that is common to low E glass for inhibiting infrared heat loss from the inside of the house into the outside in cold weather. Electrically stimulating this metal coating converts the inner pane to a heat radiant surface (see diagram at link www.woodwindows.com) that acts as a heating appliance into the affected space on demand.- both the opaquing process and the radiant process are controlled by a single electrical controller that is in turn controlled by electronic signals sent over normal household AC lines, eliminating the need for special control wiring. What is unique about this is it permits a simple, low cost method of controlling both opaque and radiant processes to provide year round, all weather insulation against heat or cold which is superior to the performance of either by itself, and the use of a single controller with signaling via AC further and considerably reduces the cost of such an invention"
